My Dream Floats ...

Nordhavn55

Here's to MV DreamsFloat
 beautiful destinations,
 yet unknown!  - DreamsFloat Joe

How am I going to cross the Pacific Ocean?

By following my simpleton formula for success:  Utilizing  a science of vague assumptions based on debatable figures derived from inconclusive experiments, performed by a person of doubtful mental capability with instruments of problemantic accuracy.
  That's how.   ~ DreamsFloat Joe

Choices

As we travel through life's journey
With each step along the way,
There are Choices we encounter
As we go from day to day.

As a child we have the guidance
Of a parent's loving care,
Walking there beside us
With all their love to share.

As our journey takes us onward
And we venture on our own,
Friends come along to guide us
And we never are alone.

Yet there always will be Choices
That are ours alone to make.
But with life's lessons along the way
We will know what path to take.

__________________________________________________ I am a dreamer, which makes no sense to so many people, and causes a lot of confusion to non dreamers, I am not a dream maker.  I said earlier, I am a dreamer, I also am a realist (another label on me), I do not live in never never land.  I am also a practical person with a lot of desire, motivation (internal), drive, unwavering commintment, lust for adventure on the seven (7), my last count, seas.

I am looking at trawlers, specifically Nordhavns, a N55, and N75 Expidition Yachtfisher, for the purpose of finding one that will have me as a skipper/owner.  Her mission, should she accept it, will be to allow me to collect the trash during long range cruises.  It is my hope to be able to hone my professional skills as an underwater mess kit repair specialist, or as a juinor lifeguard at our local car wash.

What if's?     ......

I only play what if:  when I am making contigency plans to cover any and all incidents/accidents while anyone is on board.  When my dreams float vessel is left unattended.  One of my wacky ideas is to create as many real life, incidents/accidents and have the written plans available to/for a crew of my dreams float choosing.  My dreams float passage maker hopefully will be carrying some precious cargo ala very important citizens:  Human Beings.
By creating real life training senarios, maybe I can be a very small part of a crew/team, maybe.  I would prefer all crew members be a team, a small, six, (6) member team.  Maybe this is all too "IDEAL" as I write this.  That will be my training goal.  The only test will be underway as an example.  Can a team perform in an emergency, under ruff sea conditions with less than ideal climate conditions ,with many system problems happening all in a moments notice, and respond, not react, in a calm professional manner?  It is my hope.

My perception of a Nordhavn 55  If I may, I would like to utilize "TRITON" as an example  of my written descriptions for the purpose of ease to follow my ideas.  My eyes gave 'TRITON' a look you could pour over waffles.  I believe any Nordhavn 47 would fit the bill.  However, I have seen "TRITON, and she is very easy for me to describe in detail her many simplistic, reliable, dependable systems.  "TRITON"  all inclusive.  In my humble opinion, 'TRITON' offers the ultimate in everything for maximizing any cruising possibilities, no matter what the climate she is in.  'TRITON' has a pilot-friendly roomy pilothouse with space-age technology to keep both navigation and operations under way operating independently as one.  'TRITON' has power, I am thinking of checking with NASCAR, to see if 'TRITON' would qualify for the Daytona 500 next year.   'TRITON' could be the poster child for safety and ease of operation.

Now, what questions what I ask the owner/seller of a Nordhavn 47?  This is for the purpose of explaining my decision making process or rationale thought process, hopefully complimented with great amounts of common sense.  Which is uncommon and foreign to me.  I have a tendency at times to complicate making a grilled cheese sandwich.

My questions for a Nordhavn owner

  • What does Nordhavn mean?

  •      IF, you sold a vessel, would you be able and willing to make yourself available for the newbee?

  •      Please sir, would you be kind enough to save me the burnt out light bulbs, if any?

It is  not that I do not know the answers to questions. It is that I do not know the questions?   I am still reading the 'Definitions' chapter in my dark room I built with burnt out light bulbs, similar to my brain, the light is out and no body is home, so that my negativies can develop.

Thank you very much for visiting my site.
Hope you enjoyed yourself half as much as I enjoy my journey in my search of my dreams float.
